First, decide if you want to wear the wedding veil with a tiara, headpiece or by itself. Look for bridal veil pictures in magazines and on our website to get an idea of the veil and headpiece style that you like.

Brides with short hair that isn't long enough to put in an up-do have options too. With short hair, you can go with a a narrow headband headpiece that just goes on the top of your head behind your ears. Or you can style your hair in loose curls and intermingle hair accents like flowers, rhinestones or pearl accents. Or, for a wedding hairstyle that is really different from your everyday hair, go for hair extensions!
Having a beach wedding? You could wear your hair loose with just the front
pulled back in a pony tail and a long narrow veil that is attached to pony tail
in the back. Or you could just wear your hair loose and wear the veil in the
middle back of your head.

Once you've determined where you want to wear it, think about
how long you'd like it to be, and measure to that point. That will be the
length of your veil.
Next, think about what look you are aiming for. There are a few things to
consider:
-The silhouette you want
-If you want the back of your gown to show or not
-If you want a blusher to wear over your face as you walk up
the aisle
-If you want a sleek simple look, or an understated
look, or a dramatic look, etc.
-How many tiers (also called layers) you want
A general guide to keep in mind is that if you have an elaborate gown, a simple
veil would be a better pick as it wouldn't "compete" with the gown.
Conversely, if you have a simple gown, you can go with a more elaborate veil
with special trims such as rhinestones, beads, pearls, etc. A short gown looks
fabulous with a long veil!
Wedding Gowns with an elaborate back that you want to showcase are better
matched with sheer veils, such as a 72" wide veil. This is so the veil won't
obscure the back of the dress.

The top layer of a two tier wedding veil is pulled over the bride's
face.
Blushers range in length from 20" to 30".
A 25" or 30" blusher is the most common length.

Our Rhinestones are silver-foil backed and stand out more on a veil. You can compare it somewhat to a mirrored surface.
Our Crystals are clear with Aurora Borealis (AB) irridescence, which picks up and reflects the many colors around it, like a rainbow. Crystals are a more subtle accent than Rhinestones.

It's best refer to the actual length that you want your veil, as different companies name the veil lengths differing names.

SHOULDER LENGTH BRIDAL VEIL: Usually come in the length of
from 18" to 27",with the most common length of 20".
ELBOW LENGTH BRIDAL VEIL: Usually ranges from 25" to 36", with
25" being the most common length.
WAIST LENGTH BRIDAL VEIL: Usually 30" being the most common
length.
FINGERTIP LENGTH BRIDAL VEIL: This style of veil typically
ranges from 36" to 50". Depending on your height, build, etc. the length will
vary. This veil should just meet your fingertips. Measure from where you are
going to wear the veil on your head to your fingertips to get an idea of the
Bridal veil length that is right for you. A 36" length is the most common
length for a fingertip veil.
KNEE LENGTH VEIL: Usually 45" long.
WALTZ LENGTH BRIDAL VEIL: This wedding veil is usually 54" to
60". This veil is sometimes also called a Ballerina or Walking veil. The bottom
of the veil should land somewhere between your calves and just above the
ankles.
CHAPEL LENGTH BRIDAL VEIL: This veil just touches the floor.
It can range from 60" to 90". The most common length is 90".
CATHEDRAL LENGTH BRIDAL VEIL: This veil is dramatic, as it
trails after the bride. This can range from 100" to 110" long. The most common
lengths are 108" or 120" long.
REGAL LENGTH BRIDAL VEILS: Are the longest of all veils. They
can be as long as 144"-- or longer.
COMMON WEDDING VEIL COLORS:
White: This is the whitest white. This veil goes with the
traditional white wedding gown.
Diamond white veils are also called Silk White bridal veils or
Candlelight Bridal Veils by some companies. This veil color goes well with
natural silk gowns.
Ivory: This is a light ivory (also called cream) to go with
ivory bridal gowns.
COMMON WEDDING VEIL EDGES:
Pencil Edge Veils are also called fine embroidered edge veils or corded edge veils by some companies.
Standard cut - is cut so that the corners are cut off. Picture a rectangle;
now round off the 2 bottom corners and that is standard cut. The edges of a standard cut
veil start up by your face.

Angel/cascade cut - this is cut so that the sides start higher on the side of the veil, "cascading" down.

Circular cut - is actually just a big circle. It is automatically a
2 tier veil as when it's folded in half, you get two layers. This can be gathered
at the fold and sewn to a comb. The edges of a circular cut veil are down at the bottom - not
up by your face.

Drop cut - this is another veil that is just a big circle, only there
aren't any gathers and it's attached to the hair with a hat pin (thru a pin curl)
or a small comb. The edges of a drop cut veil are down at the bottom - not
up by your face.

Oval cut - this is cut in the shape of an oval and is usually a one tier veil.
The comb is sewn at one end of the veil (with or without gathers). This is the shape
of a mantilla veil.

Bubble cut - this is cut so that the tip of the veil (behind the comb"
is more "poofy") which makes the bottom of the veil come in towards the body
a little more.

How do I get the bridal veil comb to stay in my hair if I have
short hair or really fine hair?
There are a few methods--One way is for your hairdresser to make pin curls with
bobby pins and then push the comb into the pin curls. Another way is to
use tiny hair rubber bands to make small pony tails in the area you want to
wear the comb. This method works well if you are planning on wearing a wedding
veil in short hair.
