If you're planing on making your own wedding veil, then you'll need to
attach it to a comb. We offer 2 types of combs - a wire metal comb style and
a clear plastic comb style.
Here are some tips for making and sewing your own bridal veil for your wedding:
- When selecting the fabric, look "Bridal Illusion" (not netting or pettycoat netting, which is a very stiff netting)
- Use 72" wide Bridal Illusion for standard width wedding veil or 108" wide for an Extra full bridal veil
- Iron the Bridal Illusion at the lowest temperature to get the creases out before you cut, but BE CAREFUL - too hot and it will melt the veiling!
- Use a rotary cutter - it's much easier that using scissors and gives a more precise cut
- A variety of wedding veil patterns are availble at most sewing stores
